Raffle Prizes Rolling In

One of the blessings we have experienced while Working with Volunteers Without Limits is seeing the generosity of the people of San Felipe.  It has only been a couple of days since the word has got out about the upcoming food drive and raffle yet we already have three fabulous prizes in the cue.

To the left is a picture of an incredible mosaic tile cross contributed by Barbara Peacock.  You can see more of Barbara’s work on her Facebook page at Peacock Kreations.

Also in the prize list is a gift certificate for Carole’s One of a Kind Fashions.  One of Kind is located on Mar Cortez between People’s Gallery and Fandango’s.  It is great place to find a new outfit for a night on the town or afternoon with friends. I found a yummy set there this morning while picking up items someone dropped off for the segundo.  Did I mention that Carole also helps out  by serving as a donation drop site for Volunteers Without Limits?

Thank you Carole and Barbara!  You are both awesome!

Mac Davis has also notified us that will  be contributing one of his incredible wood creations but hasn’t sent a picture of the item yet…

As mentioned in a previous post, Chuck has also set aside a custom hand turned Sierra click pen and uniquely turned toothpick case to be given out in the drawing.

Food Drive and Raffle – April 17th – Gift & Crafts Show

The Gift & Crafts Group have invited Volunteers Without Limits to sponsor a food drive and raffle at the coming Gifts and Crafts Show on April 17th  at Rumors (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.).

Quite honestly, I know nothing about setting up a raffle so if I fumble in the process, please bare with me.

As I understand it, the purpose of the raffle is to reward folks for bringing food items or making cash donations to fund the purchase of food.  Each contribution to the Volunteers Without Limits food bank will receive a number of raffle tickets in proportion to the value of the contribution, i.e. $1 = 1 ticket, $10 = 10 tickets.

We have heard from some great artists who have offered to donate one of their pieces as a prize for the raffle but I am waiting on pictures to share with you.

Below are the prizes Chuck is including.
